The Issue: Newark Bears’ field was deemed “one of the worst fields in the Northeast.”

The Job: SCG was hired to replace the worn field with a new, manicured natural turf system.

The Results: “The players love it. The grading is superb and there aren’t any more crazy hops for the fielders! It’s one of the best fields in the Northeast,” said Dave Falco, director of operations for the Newark Bears. Falco mentioned he hears something positive about the new field every time it’s used. “In baseball field construction SCG really shines. They have special equipment to do these jobs – equipment that typical contractors don’t have. It takes this kind of equipment and their level of expertise to deliver high quality field systems,” said Dan Almond, field designer for Millennium Sports Technologies, Inc. – a SCG-project partner.
